Since the creation of the first Polarity Therapy Associations in the late 1970's and early 1980's most associations have offered a registration process for members after they have completed their training. The initials granted such as, for example, RPT and RPP are normally only granted for usage whilst you are still a full member of the relevant association. If you discontinue your membership you are expected to stop using the initials. To many teachers and long time practitioners of Polarity Therapy this situation has seemed unfairly discriminatory or unjust.

The International Polarity Education Alliance is launching a system whereby should you have reached a specific level of Polarity Education you will be granted the right to use a set of initials that is not dependant on being a member of any National or International Polarity Therapy Association.

For a fully qualified Polarity Therapist who is trained in all aspects of Polarity Therapy the right to use the initials PTP will be granted. PTP stands for Polarity Therapy Professional. You will receive a diploma to this effect  from our organisational affiliate "The Polarity Network," this diploma and the usage of the initials is granted in perpetuity and is not dependent on membership of the Polarity Network even though such membership may be valuable for your ongoing practice as well as you personal and professional development.

If you have trained in only some aspects of the Polarity Principles or of the full Polarity Therapy model you can apply for the usage of the initials EPP which stands for Energy Principles Practitioner. This option is ideally suited to graduates of all trainings that focus on personal growth through Polarity Principles or just aspects of the Polarity Therapy model such as bodywork or energy exercise.

If you are just beginning your studies of Polarity energy principles you can apply for Energy Student status with the Alliance. This acknowledges your commitment to the learning process and at a later date as you progress through your Polarity edcuation you upgrade to EPP and then PTP status. There are no extra charges when you upgrade. As an Energy Student you are part of an International Alliance and benefit from reduced attendance fees at Gatherings.  

You do not have to have completed training with any of the teachers, schools or organisations listed on this website to apply for the usage of these initials.

Should your application be unsuccessful the fee is refunded in full. Successful candidates will receive an International Polarity Education diploma stating your rights to the usage of the initials. In order to keep costs low for registration of schools and for issuing the PTP and the EPP designation, the Alliance utilizes the Polarity Network to administer the school registration as well as the designation granting offered by the Alliance.
